Lately, there is really only one person who continually uses foul language on this forum and I think we all know who he is.
I'm no prude and can swear with the best of 'em, when I'm in a rousing conversation with "the home-girls", but on a public forum, that kind of language is disrespectful and unacceptable to the majority of us.
As far as the "teacher" not understanding "that poor self-image stuff", I hope he never instructs any child I'm related to. When you speak in public, whether orally or over the internet, you do project an image of yourself, by the language you use, to the people "hearing" you. Those same people, then conjure up an image of you by what they "hear" from you. To the "cusser", how do you think we really see you?
